Obama pledged…

Ha. In discussions about the health care reform bill, the biggest single issue is how to pay for it. Quote:

Democrats insist the budget analysis ignores savings and Obama’s pledge not to add red ink to the federal ledger.

Well, duh. Obama already pledged not to raise taxes, not even one dime, on people making less than $250,000 a year. He broke that pledge with SCHIP, which taxes tobacco products, disproportionately taxing lower income people. Why shouldn’t we think he’ll break this pledge also, as soon as the ink is dry on this bill he wants to pass?

Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us.

Obama also accused his opponents on health care of using “politics of delay and defeat“.

I’ll take the “politics of delay and defeat” over the politics of “panic, rush and waste” any day. Oh, and what’s this about suppressing the actual budget report (usually released in mid July) until after the vote on this bill?
