Obama / Democrat Scorecard so far:

Stimulus – $850B: Unemployment continuing to rise well past Obama predictions – stimulus FAIL. So there’s some talk in congress about a second stimulus…

Plan to stop foreclosures – $50B: FAIL.

Managing the BudgetFAIL. This administration is spending more money than ALL previous administrations combined.

Promise not to raise taxes on anybody making less than $250,000 per year: FAIL – see the SCHIP tax on tobacco, for a start. Wait for the taxes required to pay for health care and cap & trade, which will affect everyone, regardless of their promises.

Foreign Policy – FAIL. Unless it’s a good thing that we’re seen as weak and insubstantial.

Based on how it’s been going, I don’t have much hope that this administration’s remaining agenda will do any better. Still to come:

Promise to Cut the Deficit in Half – The jury is still out, but it appears to be impossible.

Revamp the Health Care System – They can’t figure out how to pay for it. They’re cooking the books like crazy trying to make it look possible, at least on paper. – it hasn’t yet passed the congress.

Cap and Trade – quite possibly the last nail in the coffin of the United States’ economy. – it passed in the House, but has not yet passed in the senate. This amounts to a massive indirect tax which will radically increase the costs of almost all consumer goods, fuel, and electricity. All to achieve a 0.2% decrease in carbon in the atmosphere twenty years from now…

What this administration has done already has not worked. What they are planning to do may introduce an actual depression. Every step they take costs us more of what we earn. If I was trying to destroy our economy, I couldn’t have come up with a better way then what we see here.

The only reason the outcry hasn’t become widespread is that the impact hasn’t hit most of us on a personal level – except for those who have become unemployed as a result of these policies, or those who use tobacco. I do expect that we will start hearing more of a general outcry when gasoline suddenly jumps in price, and you start paying an extra couple of hundred a month for electricity. But by then, it will be too late to stop them – and they’re counting on that.

That is why they are in such a bleeding hurry to pass these bills.

In fact, it is symptomatic of every bill this administration has passed. Hurry, hurry, hurry – it’s a crisis! We have to pass this right now! You congressmen don’t have time to read this bill – it has to be voted on today!

Bull Crap!
