Project Canvass

From the email that Obama’s organization sent out to all the drones about Project Canvass:

Partisan voices and special interests are showing real resistance to President Obama’s call for making the necessary reforms and investments in energy, health care, and education. … we can’t leave this important debate up to a Washington establishment that doesn’t welcome change.

No, moron; I am neither a ‘partisan voice’ nor a ‘special interest’ – unless you count my sense of self preservation as a ‘special interest’. Neither am I part of a ‘Washington establishment’ of any kind. But it is TRUE that I don’t welcome change of the sort that it seems Obama wants.

I am opposing Obama’s programs because:

  1. I don’t think they will work.
  2. I do think that they will be far, far too expensive.
  3. Obama is using this crisis to push the country towards socialism economically, and this smacks of manipulation of the population, using financial goads.
  4. The same applies to his extremely liberal policies on abortion, gun control, and other issues.

When you get right down to it, Obama wants to make the United States into something it’s never been – a nanny state, where the individual gives up all rights, in return for cradle-to-the-grave care and feeding. And Obama is using this financial crisis to do it. There’s a saying going around in Democratic circles right now – “Never waste a good crisis”. And what they mean is using fear to advance their agenda.

I am not cattle. I object, when somebody starts trying to herd me.
