Message to President Obama

Hi, President Obama;

I watched some of your speech at your retreat at Williamsburg, VA, on TV last night. You said the Republicans “come to the table with the same tired arguments and worn ideas” and you said basically that your being elected was a mandate for change.

I’d like to remind you that, by the popular vote, 59,934,814 registered voters voted against you. You had about a 6% lead, with 69,456,897 voting for you.

I would like to point out that you are the president of all of us, not just those who voted for you. That’s why your title is “President of the United States”. Not “President of the Democrats”.

Now that you are elected, you should do your job as you see fit; but don’t forget about the nearly 60 million voters who don’t see things your way. We have the right to be heard.
