I remember a book from High School called “lying through statistics”. Vance Packard comes to mind as the author. I think everyone on the hill has read it.

I loved that movie on so many levels. One of the most entertaining things I’ve seen in a while. Up here we pay $12.50 or more for a movie (depending on the format), so getting your money’s worth is always wonderful.

I’m not locked in to the Fair Tax specifically, but it is the most popular alternative system at present. It’s for sure it would beat the current system in simplicity and practicality. In my opinion.

I don’t think that Obama has a clue on what to do about the Iraq or Afghanistan wars. His ‘community organizer’ advisers haven’t a clue either – they only know how to ‘organize’. If he listens to his military commanders, those who really know, he just might make a decision that will upset his supporters.

I think you are right that he is frozen in fear about making the wrong decisions, so he just doesn’t want to make any concerning the war efforts.

Can you say ‘deer in the headlights?’
